Overview

Amevive (alefacept) is a biologic medication used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adults. By selectively targeting and reducing activated T-cells, it modulates the immune system’s overactive response responsible for psoriasis symptoms.

Administered via intramuscular injection, Amevive offers an alternative for patients who have not responded well to other treatments. It can be used as monotherapy or in combination with other psoriasis medications. Proper dosage, monitoring, and prescription requirements ensure safe and effective use under healthcare provider supervision.
