Overview

The AtroPen Auto-Injector is an EpiPen or an EpiPen-like device used to treat severe allergic reactions known as anaphylaxis. It has epinephrine, also called adrenaline – a lifesaving drug – within the device.

The epinephrine will treat potentially deadly allergic reactions that can be caused by insect bites, food allergies, medical allergies, or any other cause from an allergy-based situation. This AtroPen Auto-Injector is for immediate self-administration of the epinephrine for immediate use to avoid fatal results of anaphylaxis.

All patients prescribed epinephrine for anaphylactic reactions are instructed on its use as well as caregivers or bystanders who might be required to administer the antidote in case of an allergic emergency.
