Overview

Bacitracin, hydrocortisone, neomycin, and polymyxin B are all common components of ophthalmic preparations that are used to treat a wide range of eye conditions. These medications are often combined into ointments or creams to offer a broad-spectrum approach to treating eye infections, inflammation, and other ocular conditions.

All four elements serve multiple purposes in one. The ingredients are an antibiotic of Bacitracin, a corticosteroid hydrocortisone, neomycin also being an antibiotic, and lastly another antibiotic polymyxin B. This combination heals virtually every form of infection with bacteria while regulating inflammation to varying degrees.
