Overview

Aquoral is a medication primarily for dry mouth. Dry mouth is a condition that presents with insufficient saliva in the mouth. It may result from medical conditions, such as Sjögren’s syndrome, drugs, such as antihistamines and diuretics, or as a secondary effect of aging. Aquoral replaces moisture in the mouth, alleviating discomfort from dryness in the mouth.

The active ingredient in the content is cevimeline hydrochloride, a cholinergic agent that stimulates salivary glands to produce an adequate flow of saliva. For this reason, Aquoral provides good treatment in persons who have long-term dry mouth problems caused by chronic conditions like Sjögren’s syndrome.

The patients’ glands are produced by the attacks from the immune system and are responsible for tearing.
